Meet the Staff

Rev. William A Davis, Jr.

703-549-5500 Ext. 101

A native of the Lynchburg, Virginia, area, Pastor Bill has served in pastoral leadership in a variety of ministry settings. A graduate of Randolph-Macon College with a B.A. in Religious Studies, he received the Master of Divinity degree from The Divinity School, Duke University, Durham, NC. He went on to receive the Doctor of Ministry degree in Christian Spiritual Formation from The Theological School at Drew University in Madison, NJ.

Bill enjoys being active in body, mind and spirit. He tries to make time for walking, biking, weight training and gardening. He reads widely, and counts Wendell Berry, Annie Dillard, and Kathleen Norris among his favorite contemporary authors. He also enjoys a wide range of music. Every once in a while, he can be found watching episodes of Dr. Who or reruns of Star Trek or Battlestar Galactica.

Bill has led short-term mission teams to Mexico and Poland. His favorite aspects of Christian ministry, however, involve the connections of worship, teaching, and pastoral care with daily life. He considers the worship of God together with others to be the foundation for communal and individual identity, vitality and outreach. In proclaiming the Word and administering the Sacraments, he seeks to present the riches of the Christian experience in which God is glorified and an environment of hospitality and beauty is provided for all. He also regards small group and learning settings, as well as one-to-one conversations, to be the areas in which struggles and questions about faith can be honestly aired and lovingly addressed.

Ronnie is the person on staff that has the most history here with Trinity United Methodist Church.  He has been here over 20 years, starting off by him performing odd jobs every now and then until it evolved to him checking in with the church on a daily basis!  Ronnie is truly a person of commitment and is always willing to lend a helping hand to his Church family. Ronnie enjoys meeting all the members here at Trinity and has made many lasting relationships with different members of the congregation.  He is very reliable and   always willing to help us fix any of our problems in and around the Church. Some of his fondest memories are just hanging out with the youth who stop by the church.  He treats many of the youth as though they were his own.
