Baptism and Confirmation
Baptism
Baptism is a sacrament in the United Methodist Church, when we are initiated into a new covenant in Jesus Christ, claimed by God as God's beloved child, and we remember who we are and whose we are. At Trinity, we believe that baptism is a sacrament initiated by God and therefore we invite both children and adults into baptism.
Confirmation
For those who were baptized as an infant or child, Confirmation is an opportunity to respond to the gift God gave to us at our baptism and to promise to live as a person of faith. Confirmation also welcomes our youth as full members of the church. At Trinity, we invite 7th and 8th graders to participate in the Confirmation program.
